Bryon Boley, M.D.  

Dr. Boley received his Bachelor of Science in biological Science from Michigan State University.   He received his Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies in 2003.  Dr. Boley completed his residency in family medicine at Michigan State University-Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies in June of 2006.  Dr. Boley was Chief Resident during his residency.  Dr. Boley is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Previous to pursing a career in medicine Dr. Boley was a high school science teacher, an assistant pastor, and an Environmental Health Specialist in the state of Florida.  Dr. Boley joined Westside Family Medical Center in July of 2006.  He is married with one child.

 

David Brown, D.O.  

Dr. Brown received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the University of California-San Diego.  He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri in 1986.  He is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Brown joined Westside Family Medical Center, P.C. in 1988 after completing his residency at Michigan State University-Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies.  He is a sub-investigator in Clinical Research at Westside and is an assistant Clinical Professor with the Department of Family Practice at Michigan State University -Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies.

Dr. Brown is an owner and serves on the Board of Directors of Westside Family Medical Center, P.C.  Dr. Brown is married with two children.

 

 

Michael Dandois, D.O.

Dr. Dandois received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Pre-Medicine from the University of Texas. He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1983. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Dandois joined Westside Family Medical Center, P.C. in 1992. Dr. Dandois is a sub-investigator in Clinical Research at Westside and is an assistant Clinical Professor with the Department of Family Practice at Michigan State University - Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies.

Dr. Dandois is an owner and serves on the Board of Directors of Westside Family Medical Center, P.C as Treasurer. Dr. Dandois is married with two children.

 

Ralph M. Hodges, M.D.

Dr. Hodges attended Muskegon Community College and the University of Michigan where he received his Doctor of Medicine in 1965. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice and is currently a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Hodges is one of the four founding physicians of Westside Family Medical Center, P.C. which was founded at its current location in June of 1971. Dr. Hodges has served on the Board of Directors at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Michigan Health Partners, Blue Care Network, IBA Health Plan, and Physicians Health Plan. Dr. Hodges is a sub-investigator in the Clinical Research Department at Westside and is an assistant Clinical Professor with the Department of Family Practice at Michigan State University - Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies.

Dr. Hodges is an owner and serves on the Board of Directors Westside Family Medical Center, P.C. He currently acts as the President, CEO, and Medical Director. Dr. Hodges is married with four children and nine grandchildren.

 

Larry Jackson, M.D.

Dr. Jackson received a Bachelor of Science with majors in Psychology and Pre-Seminary from Andrews University in 1982.  He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Ohio in 1992 and completed his residency in Family Practice at Saginaw Cooperative Hospital in 1996.

Dr. Jackson joined Westside Family Medical Center in August 1996 and works in our Immediate Care Center evenings and weekends.  Dr. Jackson is married with one son.

 

 

Gabriela Palmitessa, M.D.

Dr. Palmitessa received her Doctor of Medicine from Charles University in Prague, the Czech Republic in 1993. She completed residencies in the Czech Republic in Internal Medicine and she completed a residency in Family Practice at McLaren Regional Medical Center in Flint, Michigan. Dr. Palmitessa successfully completed all requirements set forth by the Education Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) and successfully completed all of the United States Medical License Exams (USMLE) in 1999. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Palmitessa joined Westside Family Medical Center, P.C. in 2000. She is a sub-investigator in Clinical Research at Westside and is an assistant Clinical Professor with the Department of Family Practice at Michigan State University - Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies.

Dr. Palmitessa is an owner and serves on the Board of Directors of Westside Family Medical Center, P.C. Dr. Palmitessa is married with one son and in addition to English speaks Czech.

 

Nayana Patel, M.D.

Dr. Patel received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Illinois. She attended Rush University School of Medicine and received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Maryland in 1989. She completed her residency at Michigan State University-Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies. Dr. Patel is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Patel joined Westside Family Medical Center, P.C. in 1992. She is a sub-investigator in Clinical Research at Westside and is an assistant Clinical Professor with the Department of Family Practice at Michigan State University - Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies.

Dr. Patel is an owner and serves on the Board of Directors of Westside Family Medical Center, P.C. as Secretary. Dr. Patel is married with a son.

 

Gary Ruoff, M.D.

 Dr. Ruoff received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Biology from St. Peter’s College in New Jersey. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Stritch School of Medicine-Loyola University in 1965. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice and is currently a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and Michigan State Medical Society. Dr. Ruoff is also Board Certified by the National Board for Headache Management.

Dr. Ruoff is one of four founding physicians of Westside Family Medical Center, P.C. which was founded at its current location in June of 1971. Dr. Ruoff is the Medical Director and Principal Investigator of Clinical Research at Westside Family Medical Center, P.C. Dr. Ruoff is a leader in the area of Clinical Research and has received numerous awards for his work in this area. Dr. Ruoff has also published many articles based on his work and expertise. Dr. Ruoff is a Clinical Professor with the Department of Family Practice at Michigan State University-Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies and has held many positions within the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Ruoff is an owner and serves on the Board of Directors of Westside Family Medical Center, P.C. He is married with two children and three grandchild.

 

Irmina Targowski, MD

 Dr. Targowski received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Warsaw School of Medicine in 1965 where she continued with her internship and fellowship.  Dr. Targowski successfully completed all requirements and examinations set forth by the Education Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) in 1982.  Dr. Targowski completed her Residency at Wright State University in Dayton Ohio in 1986.  She is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Targowski joined Westside Family Medical Center, P.C. in 1986. She is a sub-investigator in Clinical Research at Westside and is an assistant Clinical Professor with the Department of Family Practice at Michigan State University -Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies.

Dr. Targowski is an owner and serves on the Board of Directors of Westside Family Medical Center, P.C.  Dr. Targowski is married with 3 children and 3 grandchildren.

Laurence Weber, M.D.

Dr. Weber received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Biology from St. Joseph College in Indiana. He received his Doctor of Medicine from Wayne State Medical School in 1977 and is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice. He is also a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Weber joined Westside Family Medical Center, P.C. in 1980 after completing his Residency and Internship at Southwestern Michigan Area Health Education Center. Dr. Weber is a sub-investigator in Clinical Research at Westside and is an assistant Clinical Professor with the Department of Family Practice at Michigan State University - Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies.

Dr .Weber is an owner and serves on the Board of Directors of Westside Family Medical Center, P.C as Vice President. Dr. Weber is married with 3 children and one grandson.

 

Jill S. Winkler, M.D.  

Dr. Winkler received her Bachelor of Science in Pre-Medicine and Science from Illinois Benedictine College. She received her Doctor of Medicine from Michigan State University in 1992. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Winkler joined Westside Family Medical Center, P.C. in 1995 after completing her residency at Michigan State University-Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies. She is a sub-investigator in Clinical Research at Westside and is an assistant Clinical Professor with the Department of Family Practice at Michigan State University - Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies.

Dr. Winkler is an owner and serves on the Board of Directors of Westside Family Medical Center, P.C. Dr. Winkler is married with two children.

 

Williams H. Woodhams, M.D.                  RETIRED AS OF 7-1-2012

Dr. Woodhams received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Western Michigan University and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Michigan in 1964. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice and is currently a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and Michigan State Medical Society.

Dr .Woodhams is one of four founding physicians of Westside Family Medical Center, P.C. which was founded at its current location in June of 1971. Dr. Woodhams is a sub- investigator in the Clinical Research Department at Westside and is an Assistant Clinical Professor with the Department of Family Practice at Michigan State University-Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies. Dr. Woodhams has served on the Board of Directors for ProAssurance Company (formerly Physicians Insurance Company of Michigan and Pronational) since 1983. He served as Chairman of the Board from 1999-2000. He also served as the President of the Kalamazoo Academy of Medicine in 1994.

Dr. Woodhams is an owner and serves on the Board of Directors of Westside Family Medical Center, P.C. He is married with 6 children and 11 grandchildren.

 

Karrie Kranz, PA-C

Karrie received her Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Michigan State University, she was a Clinical Internship Graduate from Hurley Medical Center School of Medical Technology and she received her MSA in Science Administration from Central Michigan University.  She received her Bachelor of Science as a Physician Assistant from Western Michigan University in 1995.  She is a Board Certified Physician Assistant and a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Michigan Academy of Physician Assistants.

Karrie joined Westside Family Medical Center, P.C. as a Physician Assistant in 1995 and is a Sub-investigator in Clinical Research at Westside.  Karrie is married with two children.

 

 

Meggan Lentz, PA-C

Meggan recieved her Bachelors in Health Science, Minor in Psycology from Grand Valley State University in 2010, her Masters of Science in Medicine in 2013 from Western Michigan University.  She is a Board Certified Physician Assistant.  A member of American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Michigan Academy of Physician Assistants. 

Meggan joined Westside Family Medical Center, P.C. as a Physician Assistant in 2013 and is a Sub-investigator in Clinical Research at Westside. 

 

Adam Toomey, PA-C

Adam recieved his Bachelors of  Science in Biomedical Science from Western Michigan University, his Masters of Science in Medicine in 2013 from Western Michigan University.  He is a Board Certified Physician Assistant.  A member of American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Michigan Academy of Physician Assistants. 

Adam joined Westside Family Medical Center, P.C. as a Physician Assistant in 2013 and is a Sub-investigator in Clinical Research at Westside.   He is married with one child.

 

Amanda Williams, MPA, Practice Administrator

Amanda received her Bachelor of Science in Social Science from Michigan State University in 1993. She received her Master of Public Administration-Health Care from Western Michigan University in 1994. She has been Practice Administrator at Westside Family Medical Center since 1997 but has worked in other capacities at Westside, including Assistant Administrator, since 1987. She is a member of the Michigan Medical Group Management Association (MMGMA) and Medical Group Management Association (MGMA). Amanda is married with two sons.
